The sound of light footsteps and muttering carried further than normal, as the part of town currently inhabited by Vendetta and her cult was dead in every sense of the word. Soon, Estella and Mathos would see carnage like never before, broken windows, smashed doors, descrated homes and all manner of horrific corpses, as the madmen had done what they enjoyed best.
When Vendetta had first seen the carnage herself, a very small part of her was reviled and disgusted, but something quickly covered that up inside her.
A few of the madmen stirred, others opened their eyes.
"So...visitors, this early?" Vendetta spoke. "I sense magic. These aren't going to be simple human prey."

“Let anyone or anything out?” He said, curiously. Clearly, there is something magical down there, Ozuhus responded. Bazyl didn’t respond, already surmising as much. He watched as Raija began her trek, immediately stopping a couple steps into her journey. Next to him, Alana tried to downplay Saleme’s earlier compliment to little effect. He laughed at both of them. “Seems I got placed with a group of comedians,” He said walking between the two toward’s the Mayor’s house. “Follow me, I know the way to the catacombs.”
If you remove that Yokai’s tail, great riches await you, Ozuhus said, trying to tempt Bazyl. The other girl, she’s got a bit of magic within her too. I can feel it. It’s on the tip of my tongue, I just can’t place what she is….
Bazyl shook his head, Quiet down, demon. Unless you have positive remarks about the mission, I don’t want to hear it. He looked back toward Raija and Alana, realizing that having a conversation in his head surely looked weird and would draw attention to himself. “We’re returning to the mayor’s house. I’m sure there’s a stairwell leading to the catacombs beneath his office,” He spoke up in an attempt to get everybody on the same page. “Saleme warned that there will be things down there, though I’m not sure who or what it might be. I suggest everyone be on their guard.”

Raija looked at Bazyl as he took charge, an innocent smile flashing as she hup-two'd behind him. "Bazyl thinks I'm funny. What a delight." She said kicking her feet up toy soldier style. Following his instructions, they returned to the mayor's house from whence they came. "We just came back from this place. I saw nothing Catacomb-y before. Do we have to pull a book out of a bookcase or something." She said walking into the Mayor's house, investigating anything she might've missed before. She began touching things that looked pull-able: globe fixtures, books, busts, odd standing out blocks of wall. Nothing worked. "Man. This guy sends us on the wildest goose chase-" She said leaning back against a wall. "Like why wou-oh-WOAH!" The wall moved from behind her, revealing the staircase they were looking for. "Ahh. I found it." She said rubbing her head, looking down the stairs. "This goes down to the catacombs?"

Alana followed Raija and Bazyl, remaining quizzical. She'd never set foot in the mayor's home before, keeping herself hidden. Although now her secret was out, she supposed.
Looking around the room, she was as lost as the others- she knew how she'd hide something- under layers and layers of protective charms, she'd done it with a chocolate bar before, it was very handy as long you didnt mind keeping your chocolate at just above room temperature- but with humans, who could tell how they would hide something? They were so....modern, and yet so primitive at the same time.
She looked under the same empty coffee mug twice, then upturned the wastepaper bin. She was about to open one of the desk drawers when Raija almost fell through the real door.
"The catacombs!" She exclaimed, unceremoniously dropping the coffee mug onto the floor. She helped Raija up, before staring at the staircase. The chamber looked dark.
She blinked, and each tail tip grew a small, bright blue flame. She looked to the others.
"Because I'm a light source, should I head in first, or...?" She looked at Bazyl.
"As a human male, your ego and the sword you carry suggest that you may want to enter first-"
She looked to Raija. "But your inquisitive nature and natural curiosity found the door, and you can fend for yourself. Do you want to head in?"
Alana shook her head, and muttered to herself. "Mo' humans, mo' problems."

Estella and Mathoss walked into the scene and both of them stopped dead in their tracks at the carrage and destruction. Mathoss pulled out a cellphone and dialed an emergency number he had for the guardians "Guardians, Emergency Line." "This is Mathoss Silverfur. I'm at the corner of 8th street and Palm, we got a massive situation here, I've got more then twenty dead bodies and destruction of property and other things it looks like a war happened over here." "Copy that Mathoss, we'll send some units your way." Mathoss nose twitched "make sure they are armed to the teeth, I got the feeling that whatever did this is still around." "Copy that." Estella hummed "Mathoss... I sense something evil" Mathoss hummed "HQ make that backup snappy, I think Estella and I are about to encounter it."

Raija observed Alana closely as she made a conundrum out of nothing. "Alana, dahlin." Standing up and placing her hands on Alana's shoulders she turned and pointed down there. "It's a dark night down there. And you're the beautiful full moon we need! You can make our dark, dusty, dirty trip into one that sparkles with a surprise around ever corner." Shifting behind her with a smile, she gently guided her forward. "Break a leg girl! You're a star!" She exclaimed with a small laugh, starting down the stairs.

- Forest Bay Streets “Please don’t treat me like a stranger Saleme just went down and you two aren’t phased that means you two and I are familiar” The ginger haired woman smirked flipping her hair back and winking at the men.
“So I can guess you are a part of that clan that kept me down their along with the Speyers?” She questioned while pointing towards the ground.
“Good then I have two of the most powerful witches in front of me I guess that means the demon just has snacks” She snapped before lifting the lifeless Saleme and kicking his body towards Wesley and then dashing towards the other older gentlemen the one she considered a threat.
- Forest Bay Catacombs Deep underground something was lurking in the dark and damp catacombs a screech no a roar echoed throughout the catacombs whatever was being kept down there was hungry.

As the trio entered the mayor’s house, they split up checking different sections of the house. Bazyl checked the tub, toilets, and attic in an effort to think out of the box but came up empty-handed. Away from the girls when they found it, Bazyl came rushing toward them sword in hand when he heard the coffee mug shatter.
“What’s going on?!” He said, ready to help defend. Scanning the scene, he realized they discovered the door. Smiling he pointed a thumbs up at the two, “nice job!” He frowned when Alana inquired who would lead the way. He motioned for Alana to go before him, “I’ll cover the flank.”
The roar made him grip his sword again. “I don’t suppose any of you recognize that roar..?” Bazyl stopped suddenly. "Guys, hold on," He began.
"What are you doing? Scared?" Ozuhus chimed in.
"No, I can't let whatever that thing is out of here so I need to make sure our entrance won't be his exit," He explained. Ozuhus rolled his eyes. Arriving back at the staircase entrance he gripped his sword and it glowed. He slashed the ceiling causing rubble to fall over the entrance.
"How are you going to get out of here?" Ozuhus asked.
"We'll find a way out, I'm sure of it." Bazyl replied, walking back to Raija and Alana. "Alright, let's move forward and find out what the mayor was hiding down here."

"What- what're you saying?" Alana spoke, attempting to keep a haughty nature but failing to keep her face from breaking into a bashful smile.
Looking to Bazyl, she nodded as Raija lightly pushed her forward down the stairs. "I shall- be the vanguard, then! Um- onwards, me!"
As she moved down, she also heard the noise, and her senses went into overdrive trying to find the source. It was difficult.
She looked back to Bazyl as she spoke. "Let's find it quickly. There's likely more secrets down here than we realize."

As Estella and Mathos turned the corner, Vendetta stepped forward to greet them.
"I know you are humanoids who either know or possess magic. I cannot make you leave here, but a longer and more fulfilling life will be likely if you did."
As she spoke, a few members of the horde of cultists stepped forward, breathing heavily.
"As you can tell, my....entourage have hobbies. Hobbies they'd like to explain to you at length. If you're going to run, run now. If you're going to let the end happen, be my guest. But if you want to fight...."
She quirked an eyebrow.
"Well, now that I'd openly respect."

Raija covered her ears as the roar bellowed through the catacombs. "Woah! Surround sound! This is going to be fun." She said guiding Alana down the stairs still. "I can look ahead, I'm a shadow surfer!" She said jumping into the wall and jumping out of the other side. "But, I'm kind of scared of what's down there, Foxy mama here can just incinerate everything. So... What to do cap'n." She said to Bazyl, walking a circle around him.
