Forest Bay to most it is a simple town. A peaceful town where everyone knows just about everyone it is kind of the town that when someone new shows up everybody notices. The weathers tend to change every now and then but that is the weirdest thing in town at least that is what most residents think. The truth is the town isn’t just a home for humans granted they are the ones in charge but that mainly because they chase anyone who they determine to not be human out of town. A few special cases reside in town but they have permission from the mayor to put it simple something about this town just attracts the otherworldly type’s folks that sometimes don’t always like the idea of following the town’s laws.
The town has many secrets and heritage of its foundation is a mystery but things are about to change real soon see I failed to mention the town is near a coast and a team found an artefact one that should never have been found and now someone was stupid enough to activate it meaning the magical creatures living in this town aren’t the towns biggest problem anymore the beacon that was activated is now because it let out a pulse and a lot of magical creatures in the country felt it and that means Forest Bay just became their next destination.
I hate to be the mayor of this town or one of those magical creatures that lives here because I’m betting they got enemies and now this little town just became a highlighted spot for all kinds of trouble. Well Welcome to Forest Bay try not to drown near the sea and if you head up into the woods well it isn’t just animals that you got to watch out for stay out the catacombs beneath town and have a pleasant stay.
Witches – Connected to nature and mostly to blame for when the towns weather goes well wild. These witches are dangerous one of the main reason the town hasn’t become a city is due to their connection with nature. Though some witches do not need nature or care for it resulting in them using a more dangerous form of magic just remembers they are useful for spells and all magic has a price just depends on who will pay it. Witches have their own clans and each clan has a supreme remember a witch is dangerous a supreme is much worse.
Race List Ferals – In the old days they were called familiar’s animal servants who served witches these days well that name is all but gone and they don’t serve witches. The familiars evolved into humans with animal like features and abilities good for them the enhanced senses makes them rather dangerous on the bright side though they aren’t as dangerous as vampires. Ferals on the other hand can communicate with animals granting them the unique ability to see through the eyes of wild life.
Banshee – A human inflicted with a curse they kill another human and they will turn into Banshee creatures who serve death. All Banshees are related the curse is in their bloodline at least I think. They work as the bridge to the other side so think of them like living ghosts they can phase through objects and well just don’t let one scream it really makes the ears bleed plus breaks stuff especially magical creatures but hey if your human good for you they can’t hurt you.
Vampires – Painful to be around especially when you are on the menu. Fast strong and extremely irritable if hungry in order to protect yourselves I suggest you learn the basics. Do not stare at their eyes because they can stun you. Sunlight doesn’t kill them if they have recently fed on a magical being but it does severely weaken them to the level of human. Other than that watch out for their strength and speed it can rival a ferals but only if the vampires recently fed. Oh and don’t let them bite you and live because once bitten they can sense you wherever you are whenever you are.
Shifters – You ever heard of a wendigo well these things are a special breed of wendigo sharp claws rotting skin and white eyes. That is until they taste blood anyone whose blood they taste the wendigo can take the form of that person. That is what makes them dangerous luckily they can only transform once or twice after feeding and they tend to need their sharp claws for killing so don’t let them corner you alone and you should be fine in order to use their claws they need to turn back and their white eyes can only track movement stay still and you are almost invisible.
Djinn – Trouble making tricksters with access to magic Djinn are dangerous to the foolish they grant three wishes there are rules. Sand and Smoke sometimes lightning tend to be signatures of these creatures an odd sense of fashion they will grant you wishes but only if they are strong enough to do them just make sure they never grant up to three for you otherwise they can control you and that increases their power. All Djinns want to be free and their imprisonment is a curse one they cannot escape. It is a cycle one gets freedom another one loses their freedom.
Yokia – Mostly Fox Demons masters of illusions they can give a witch a run for their money when it comes to the fire throwing. Ghostly blue flames are their form of attack plus wisp form allows them to move quickly through dangerous areas. Almost extinct due to the fact they have nine tails each tail is important because they can bring back the dead well someone who is freshly dead. The point is they only have ninetails and due to the tails ability to revive the dead they were hunted.
Widows – Good enough to pass for humans at least while they have a host body. All Widows are black spider tattoos sadly the spider tattoo is alive. It needs regular feeding from the shadows of others and is in constant communication with the human host. The human host gains the ability known as shadow magic. The spider feeds of others shadows so as long as it is fed the host will be able to warp manipulate shadows plus extract knowledge from individuals by feeding of their shadows. If starved for too long they will consume the host and find themselves a new one although they cannot survive long without a host.
Human – The rather interesting kind and the most common in town. One does not ever underestimate them. They are the weakest and strongest because they have the ability of numbers. Several are useless and merely food sources for other races but the rare ones the ones you don’t see coming will kill you and the best thing is they have all the numbers they need to hide until they are ready to strike.

Name : Alana Hishiro Age : 25 Race : Yokai Appearance : Bio : Born into a family of Yokai, Alara experienced a fairly short happy period during her childhood, until their sacred home in the Forest Bay wood was burned to the ground, and her family hunted for their tails. Disguising herself, she fled the scene, leaving their shrine in a mess of blackened timber and ashes. She grew up alone, and her life was not an easy one. She almost starved, until a kind human woman took her in and fed her. The kindly woman looked after Alara until Alara reached the age of 16. At this age, Alara wanted to strike out on her own, and thanked the woman who had become like a mother to her, and tentatively revealed that she was in fact a Yokai. The human woman simply laughed, and told Alara that she'd known all along. This cemented Alara's faith that life is not black and white, not all humans are evil. She knew that she wanted to dedicate her life to the care of others, and took up practice as a healer. Now, 10 years later, she's grown adept at using her powers, hiding when she needs to, and her medical skills are top grade. She made a living helping those that couldn't help themselves, and did not discriminate- magicals or humans, no difference to her. Alara is kind, intelligent and forthright, but also deeply suspicious of others, distrusting, and blunt. Powers : Illusion, Blue Fire Manipulation, Acrobatics, Yokai Powers Weapons : N/A Role in Town: Travelling Medic Name : Vendetta (real name unknown), also is known as "V" to followers Age : Appears around late 20's, real age is impossible to know Race : Widow Appearance : Bio : Vendetta is a savage Widow from the lands beyond Forest Bay. When the signal went off, she was one of the first to visit the town, along with her cult followers. The spider tattoo that feeds her magic is especially vicious, so much so that she doesn't remember being anyone but Vendetta. For some reason, she feels an abhorrent hatred for Forest Bay, and wants to see it burn. Vendetta was cursed with the tattoo some 20 years ago, despite her appearance. Her followers are equally as insanely devoted to it as she is, and some even willingly offer their shadows to it, causing their minds to derange further. She is a remorseless savage of death and destruction, with an unholy appetite for the demise of those in her way. Despite this, she's also a skilled tactician, an intelligent predator. Sometimes, her hatred for Forest Bay is tinged with another, very different feeling, one that she doesn't understand at all. Powers : Shadow Magic, Death Magic Weapons : Whatever's to hand. Role in Town: Conqueror

Name: Estella Halos (Estella Heliot) Age: 18 Race: Witch Appearance: The Red Haired Female Bio: Estella was born to a family with links to the Heliot Clan, a clan of nature loving witches who seek to maintain the balance between man and nature. However because of distant relatives with more radical thought processes, The Heliot clan and anyone with their name was marked as Eco-terrorist with many claiming their clan had a hand in destroying property and other things especially when recently constructed buildings started growing branches and vines. To escape this, Estella's parents moved near Forest Bay 15 years ago and changed their last name to Halos. From there they tried to behave like normal humans only practicing their magic in the privacy of their home in the woods. However like all secrets, it soon became known that the Halos were witches especially when their daughter Estella had a knack for spellcasting even at a young age often using rhymes unintentionally to trigger a spell which caused problems in the local school with many being 'bewitched' by the Halos kid which resulted in her being bullied by the other humans. However one kid stood up for Estella and stated that he was different too and if they wanted to pick on someone for being different why don't they pick on someone like him and showed off a feral cat like form with fangs and claws and fierceness in the form of speed and quick cat like reflexes that scared off the would be bullies. Estella was grateful for the boy's intervention but feared that he too would be bullied because he was also different. The boy, who introduced himself as Matt the Cat, dismissed it without fear saying that if people wanted to be afraid of others that was their problem not his or hers and if she ever needed help, He was there for her. This friendship and support blossomed into dates and other romantic things throughout their later school years but once both reached adulthood Estella started to have worries about where to take her and Matt's relationship because of the two being of two different races especially ones in which one race was once the slaves of the other. For now she is a local girl who mixes up herbs and potions to help people and has a slight wish to learn modern medicine, but after the incident she putting that dream on hold. His particular traits that became more pronounced when he triggers his feral form and becomes Matt the cat are being able to extend and retract his fingernails like cat claws, his teeth having somewhat sharp cat like fangs and his silver hair spikes up. He also has exceptional agility and reflexes that when combined turn this cool cat into one fast moving furball. Despite his family being different the silverfurs have always been defenders of Forest Bay because of this Mathoss has within the last couple of years taken up wielding his family sword and has been seen practicing in the woods with various training swords. As for his relationship with Estella, he doesn't care that she's a witch and that her race once were slave owners of his race long ago but he won't push her into things and will be happy with however she decides to let their relationship develop although he does purr when he thinks of her. CC Format Name: Saleme Speyers Age: 22 Race: Witch Appearance: Bio: Born into one of the founding families of Forest Bay Saleme Speyers grew up a rather sheltered life. A wealthy yet controlling family Saleme grew up in a manor deep in the woods of Forest Bay. Sent to Paris when his powers began to manifest when he was seventeen Saleme spent five years studying in France with a family friend before returning to Forest Bay after sensing the beacons activation. Saleme has not returned to his family home and instead is now living above the town bar and working there as waiter this has resulted in Salemes father sending the family familiar to keep an eye on him. Saleme doesn’t have a supreme viewing them as dangerous he has avoided many other witches and made enemies with a few for refusing their offers especially after he gained the ability to wield different coloured fire. During an encounter with another fire wielder Saleme acquired a scarf made of a specific rare fur. Powers: Advanced Fire Magic: Saleme most offensive skill grants him the ability to create heat and then flames what sets him in the advance class is that his fire attacks can create magma and his ability to manipulate the flame he controls has grown to a level where he now seems to be able to change the colour of his flames. Weapons: Tome – Saleme carries a tome full of spells and potion recipes granted it is rare he ever actually opens the tome or uses it. Role in Town: Bartender
A stormy night in forest bay had almost all the residents inside the wind was howling and rain was falling and the sea well it was in a foul mood. A certain black haired male would have had to even lock up for the night if it wasn’t for the mayor calling a meeting. A greying businessman type he was handsome some could call him a silver fox was lecturing a group sat at a table as the black haired bartender simple looked un-amused. “Wilson geez the indian food was not that bad!” The mayor yelled as one of the council members ran to the bathroom. Saleme frowned he began to lean on a table staring at the council the typical members and the new one the stupid scholar. Bazyl was his name and to be honest he was intelligent Saleme didn’t like that the only member that knew about his magic was the mayor and he had assumed Bazyl if not he would soon know he could tell the intelligence of the young man was something that would probably out his witch side to the rest of the council.
As the mayor went on about several incidents a few missing people cases and ‘animal attacks’ had led to this meeting and the mayor was reviewing every one of them it was a very slow process.

As the council meeting droned on, Bazyl couldn’t help being captivated by the stormy weather. He recently began studying water magic to hold Ozuhus in check, despite the Djinn’s word he wouldn’t harm Bazyl. However, that was the least of Bazyl’s worries. Lest the evil Djinn find amusement in hurting any of the town’s residents, Bazyl would combat him with water magic.
‘Why is he staring at you like that?’ Ozuhus asked Bazyl subconsciously. Previously unaware of that fact, Bazyl shifted his gaze from the mayor to the Witch. ‘I’m not sure… I haven’t had much contact with him. I don’t frequent bars or alcohol for that matter, so we don’t usually see each other. I can only imagine we’re here because his family is one of the founding members of Forest Bay,’ Bazyl responded. ‘There’s something peculiar about him. Maybe you should kill him?’ Ozuhus suggested to which Bazyl merely shook his head. ‘No, that’s a crime Ozuhus. Besides, as far as I can tell he hasn’t done anything to merit such an act.’
“Bazyl…?” The Mayor spoke up, watching Bazyl shake his head. “Do you have a better idea?” He crossed his arms, expectantly.
Bazyl forced a believable cough, “huh? No, no. I was trying to hold that cough in,” He responded smiling lightly. He cleared his throat at stood, “However, I do have some things to discuss if I could borrow the floor…” The Mayor nodded and promptly sat down. “Recently a team of explorers discovered a beacon, not very far from the coastline. We’ve done all we can to learn more about it, but so far we’ve come up short. The only thing we know for sure is that it has ancient magical properties.”
Immediately, the council began murmuring to one another about could-be and what-if scenarios. Bazyl lifted his hand to signal for them to quiet down. “I know nobody wants to hear this but… It’s in my personal opinion that we offer an olive branch of peace to any known magical families in Forest Bay. This is something humans, by themselves, cannot overcome. Hopefully, they can forgive the way we treated them in the past and together help build a bright future.”

A silence loomed in the air as the scholar proposed his theory, nothing but the murmur of a few protesters and the rain clapping against the wooden roof. Hanging out on a nearby wall, an azure-haired girl clapped twice in quick succession. "Ya hear that Elise! Fun!" She spurted out to no one in particular, breaking the silence and attracting eyes everywhere. "Ahh. Sorry. Continue on Bazyl! Do tell do tell!" Her eyes met his with a strange allure, one not of lust but of hunger. She flashed a strange bloodlust at the man, but returned back to her normal innocent self. Her widow tattoo was greatly hidden by her hair, no one in the room could've seen it. From looks of it, it just seemed like she was a strange girl.
"I've always wanted to see magic." She clapped twice again in quick succession, hopping up and down this time.

As the mayor glanced over to side where the female voice had been heard Saleme would get up looking severely irritated expression on his face. “She is normal you can relaxe just a drunk teenager…” Saleme grumbled grabbing the lass arm and pulling her towards the door.
“Sweetie we are closed and you cannot be served here so leave!” Saleme snapped hurrying her out the door sending the excited troublemaker out into the rain and slamming the door on her before she could get a word. “Remind me to have a word with you about making sure this bar checks for I.Ds” The mayor grumbled as the meeting now began to continue.

Bazyl watched Raija curiously. ‘That’s not the look of lust, Bazyl. Certainly, that woman wants your life,’ Ozuhus said to his human partner. Bazyl dismissed him, ‘regardless of her motives, I still feel bad sending her into the storm outside. I know she isn’t allowed to be a part of the council meeting but we could of at least given her shelter in the meanwhile.’ There was silence in Bazyl’s mind for some time before Ozuhus cackled heartily. ‘You humans never cease to amuse me! That is the reason you will die, Bazyl Musa. Your kindness will get you killed.’
Sitting back down, Saleme slammed his hand on the table. “Now that that is over… the beacon you spoke of was erected because of this town’s ancestors, not us! If any magical being harbors a grudge they can get over it!” he snapped before folding his arms.
“Saleme you are just here to pour the drinks and clean… and you should start cleaning. It’s beginning to stink,” The Mayor grumbled.
“Oh really? I on the other hand seem to have more experience with magical knowledge than you. If I was in town, the beacon wouldn’t have activated because I would have told you not to dig there,” Saleme stated.
Bazyl narrowed his eyes at Saleme’s statements. ‘Why does he know so much about the beacon? I wonder what magical ties he has,’ Bazyl pondered. Ozuhus chimed in, ‘I have the power to squeeze that information out of him. If you so desire, I can grant you that very power.’ Ozuhus briefly showed him a could-be scenario of a terrifying power stealing Saleme’s soul. He shook his head again, ‘Stop those gruesome images from playing in my head, Djinn.’
“Oh I’m sorry your highness, we shouldn’t build a new hospital because some witches decided to cast ancient magic,” The mayor motioned for Saleme to take a seat.
“The problem is every magical being in the world is sensing it! I lived with one when I was in France and they informed me of the beacon before you rang!” Saleme snapped back at the mayor. “In other words olive branches may not be the best idea,” Saleme grumbled before taking his seat. He was rather irritated at who he was sat next to: the councils pet, Bazyl.
Bazyl rose once again. “That is the very same reason we should offer peace branches with the magical entities within our midst! They live here! Surely, they don’t want to see their home overrun with dangerous foes. If we can make peace with the magical residents here, we can defend our home and even increase profits for the town.
This incited constant murmuring from the council members who spoke of both sides, Saleme’s and Bazyl’s. “Well now that the rich brat has yelled, we need sugge-“The mayor didn’t finish his sentence as the bathroom door slammed open. The man stood in the doorway wielding a twisted smirk on his face. His flesh had begun to rot, decayed muscle replacing skin.
“A wendigo? Great looks like I haven’t got a choice….” Saleme snarled getting up as his arm raised. Bazyl raised an eyebrow at him. ‘Does he plan on fighting bare-handed with that creature?’ Bazyl thought, unsheathing the sword from his back.
The mayor grabbed it, “Don’t Saleme that smell rotten eggs and that means gas is in the air… The mayor suggested causing Saleme to frown as the wendigo began to pull out a lighter.
‘As I thought. He’s not the magical being you need to worry about right now,’ Ozuhus stated. The shock of the Djinn’s statement was apparent on his face. Sure, Bazyl had a couple notions but no concrete evidence. Unscrambling his thoughts, Bazyl returned to the scene and gripped his hilt harder.
“Suicide?” Saleme questioned just before he was shoved back into his seat. The mayor grabbed the scarf that he was wearing, wrapping half of it around Saleme and Bazyl necks. “You two are the youngest-“The mayor sentence was never complete as the entire bar was immediately engulfed in flames and the echoing boom of an explosion was heard across the town
