As the students made faces in the mirror, when they moved away, their reflections would remain frozen.
Cracks grew out from the small "help" notice, and began to spell new words.
i sEe yOU.
The lights began to dim in the bathroom, as gloopy, peachy cream make-up began to spurt and leak out from the cracks, as they spelled another phrase.
leTs aLL jUSt bE CHilDRen ToGETheR.
Large, greying hands, some with shards of mirror sticking out of them from odd angles, shot out from the mirror, splashing more of the cream foundation makeup onto the floor, splattering it across the tiles, grabbing Santos, Karma, Sophie and Meika, and dragging them into the mirror, leaving Masato alone in the bathroom, as the mirror began to shatter and crack further under some mysterious strain, sending a few shards flinging across the room.
One last message scrawled itself across the mirror.
aRASHi wANtS tO kNOw wHY yOu LeFT hIM sO lOng. i ALwAYs kNEw hIKaRU wOUlD lEAvE ME.
The shattering and crunching and the make up flooding reached fever pitch as a horrendous face appeared in the remains of the mirror, distorted beyond recognition from all the cracks. Lank dark hair over a pale, disfigured face, mouth stretched tautly open in a silent scream...
Just like that, the room was fine again. The walls and floor were clean, and the mirror was completely clean and intact, although instead of reading "help", it now read "get help".
= = = = = = = = = = = = =
The students would be dumped in a circular room, where each wall was covered in several screens, each bearing a profile. An image, statistics on the person, money earned, blood type, birthday, social media feed.
The room was lit only by the many screens, making it eerily gloomy. Ahead, Priya was on her knees, staring at something just out of eye shot. She was shivering with fear.

Santos knew something was up the minute his face froze in the mirror then the words shifted
Masato grunted "Get Back!" He shouted
"What?!" Santos grunted but then the hands reached out and grabbed him "WTF" He swore then was pulled in
Masato attempted to reach out and grab on to be pulled in with only to miss and fail to get in.
He grunted "No!" He shouted as the students disappeared
The mirror then seemed to taunt him about Arashi saying that his son was asking why he left him for so long when he knew Hikaru would leave him.
Masato hummed then thought "fact is I didn't leave him. he left me to go help you all. I tried to follow but failed then gave up trying to follow. Arashi you are the one who needs to return I can only do so much."
~~~
Santos would land roughly in a circular room on his frontside. He growled and turned tense like a cat as he looked sharply at each profile then at Priya "Found her..." He muttered
"Guess I'm gonna have to owe Kiyoko next time I see her." He thought "there's is something about this school that not of this world."
Meika smirked as Santos got ruffled by the V-card comment which escalated into a laugh as Sophie added her side comment. The way the girl quickly changed the subject turned Mei off of reacting to her, didn't seem like she wanted any pressure. "Following the rules got you far didn't it?" She asked sarcastically to Santos, leaning on the stall wall. "That's just my opinion though."
As the attention was brought to the mirror, she took a couple steps closer. "Help?" She said touching the glass. Meika scoffed, "Don't tell me this haunted shit is real." She said turning away from the mirror. "There's nothing here, time to-"
"Get back!"
Meika jumped as she felt something creeping around her torso, her body feeling weightless as she flew through the air. "Huh?" She can only utter as she felt her arm crashing onto the floor in an unfamiliar area. Climbing up to her knees she stumbled up to her feet, looking at Priya up ahead. She didn't see what she was staring at, so she began to walk up to her. "Is this... some type of joke?" She asked to Priya, getting closer, trying to tap her shoulder.
Goosebumps ran up his spine as Karma watched the new message scrawl across the mirror.
i sEe yOU.
As the lights dimmed and make up oozed out of the cracks, a new message appeared.
leTs aLL jUSt bE CHilDRen ToGETheR.
By now, Karma was legitimately freaked out. He was no strange to a horror flick, but being in it was completely different. Slowly, he unconsciously began inching away from the mirrors. That’s when the grey hands shot out and began grabbing the students. First Santos went through, then he saw Raija disappear. Immediately removing a pen from his pocket, he began stabbing at it frantically but it didn’t seem to do any damage.
Rolling onto the ground, he pushed himself up onto his feet and brushed himself off. Karma looked around. Everyone was still accounted for, though they all looked a little rattled. Can’t blame ‘em. He glanced the walls. He was surprised at how personal they were, even displaying money earned and blood type. Raija moved toward Priya first. “Yo, don’t you learn? Caution is the name of the game, with what we’re dealing with here,” He tried to warn.
Santos picked himself up as he looked at Priya "it's not a joke..." He muttered to Meika "Oy, Priya, great disappearing act you pulled," He stated "but the bulk of the school doesn't even give a half a damn. You're lucky we were sent here by someone who did give a damn." He stated "now get up and let's get out of this... this... whatever it is." He muttered "oy Professor Satou, we found her! Send us a rope or something." He called
As the others drew closer to Priya, she turned to the sound of their voices, her usually placid and annoyingly calm face clearly twisted in distress.
"You- it got you too-" She started, before the screens started flashing brightly. Priya let out a tiny yelp. "No no no no not again not again-"
A young woman stepped out from the shadows, the mirror image of Priya. The only difference was the savage facial expression, and the almost glowing amber eyes.
"Oh good, more real people. We can tell them about what we do, can't we?"
The Shadow spoke, the screens showing more and more faces.
"No-" Priya began, her eyes brimming with tears.
"We catfish people. It's fun, really. All you do is bait them with some fairly tame messages, a profile picture taken from Google, and the idea that it's a real human connection."
Priya looked down at her knees from the kneeling position she was in, and remained silent.
"Most see it for what it is, and block us. But some..."
More profile pictures blew up bigger on the screens surrounding them. Older men. Most were unattractive, some balding, some a little bigger, some embracing their children, their wives.
"Some WANTED it to be real. So bad they'd talk to us for months and months and months..."
Priya gasped out a sob as a particular profile picture projected itself before her.
"Remember this idiot? We made him miss his daughter's piano performance and left him waiting for us in the rain outside the park, didn't we? It was all he'd spoken about for so long, and we wanted to take that away from him. We watched him through the window of the burger restaurant across the street- constantly messaging him, making sure he thought we still might show- of course we never did. Stupid man still spoke to us for a while after that, didn't he?"
Tears streamed down Priya's cheeks as she silently felt the shame of her actions.
"The only mistake was trying to get them to give money. So trackable, money. And it's not something we even needed. Mummy and Daddy have money, don't they?" The shadow spoke, in a sing song voice.
Priya looked up then. "Don't you even SPEAK-"
"Mummy and Daddy denied us attention so we targeted men with children and ruined their lives, and stole the attention for ourselves. Then we tried to steal too much, and now we've lost Mummy and Daddy forever because we're a criminal." Shadow Priya spoke, head to one side, speaking matter-of-factly.
"NO!" Priya imploded. "No, that's not- not right, you're- you're not ME!"
sOMe THinGs aRe DOoMEd tO rEpEAt tHEmsELVeS.
Shadow Priya beamed wider as she twisted and shook, her form changing. Priya hung back in horror as Shadow Priya had transformed into a huge, cybernetic spider, trailing wires and flashing screens. A humanoid torso emerged from the front of the cyborg, a torso and head resembling Priya herself, with six arms clicking away at different tablets and smart phones. Her face was expressionless as her eyes flickered quickly from one screen to the next, fingers swiping and clawing with deadly precision.
"Look at me now. Am I everything you thought I was?"
Sophie had remained silent ever since the group arrived in this mirror world. A twist of fate perhaps but Priya was the one facing the razor sharp glass of the mirror specifically seeming to look at the worst part of herself and god it must have been embarrassing for her especially in front of us strangers. “I suggest we all either pick fight or flight” Sophie snapped.
~ Hikaru classroom Hikaru had been setting up for his next day lecture when his publisher rang. “Yes I know it’s being handled Helen I told you the chapters would be done when I’m done. Plus the good press I am getting for helping out the under privilege here is making my books sell so stop bothering me” He snapped before hanging up. “I have a brother to find and if fates working the way I predict I think a message in my lecture will be beneficial for those newbies I best remember to invite that annoying Arashi dad” He muttered to himself.
Santos listened to Priya's shadow talk about what she did.
"Catfishing..." He thought in distaste then looked at dungeon "well now I get all the profiles, it's data you get off the Internet. Fortunately for me, Social Networking not one of my things." He thought "look at all these bozos..." He thought "some of them have so much like a loving family and yet they fall for the whims of a catfisher... How pathetic... and that man who missed his daughter piano performance all to meet someone he found online, why do people like him breed..." He sighed but then heard how Priya convinced people to give her money when she had tons of it. What didn't she have, attention from her family and it seemed that Priya had did her crimes to get attention from them.
"I don't know what's more pathetic." He stated "You being an attention whore or your parents being so damn rich and busy that they have no time to take care of you." He scoffed "whatever you reap what you sow have fun with Miss Spidertech over there, I'm going to find the exit." He hummed as he looked around then upward "wonder how far up the exit is."
Meika's eyes shot around as the shadow began to speak, guilting Priya for her activities. There were too many questions and not many answers, but one thing guaranteed was that the Fushigi rumors were real. Being far less interested in Priya's evils, she wondered what spawned this and most importantly, why them. The old man was also in the bathroom, yet he didn't pop up here. "Tch." Hearing Sophie give their options, and seeing Santos walk away, seemed like nothing was going to be done by anyone else. She took the headphones from her cd player and chucked it as hard as she could at the 6-armed Priya look-alike's face. "Bring it on monster! We can take all of what you can dish!!" She said walking in front of Priya. "Get up. We have to fight." If Priya looked up at Meika, she could see her hands trembling and knees slightly giving out on her. It was taking all she could to stand bravely, even though fear was coursing through her body. "You owe me for this, Redhead."
Priya sniffled on the floor, at Santos' harsh words, she threw back her head and glared at him.
"Don't you think I checked the room when I was grabbed? There's no way out. Like I care what you think of me anyway..." She shook her head defiantly, but his words had struck a chord. She'd been shown exactly what she'd done, and she did not like it one bit.
Looking up from the floor at Meika, she saw the girl tremble like she was, but she was ready and willing.
"I owe you twice, don't I? You offered to distract the guards so I could sneak out in the first place. I may have found an alternative but...no one else offered."
Shakily, Priya got to her feet. "Okay. Let's do this."
As the headphones hit Shadow Priya in the face, she dropped two of her tablets, and screamed in physical pain as they hit the floor and shattered.
"Her power....it's in the devices." Priya spoke calmly, before blinking back the tears, and angrily picking up some debris from the ground, a rock.
"We....are NOT....hurting people....any MORE!" She called, hurling the rock through the air, catching and shattering another smartphone from the robotic horror's hands. It screeched aloud, making Priya shrink back, but she was not cowed.
"This isn't how it ends! I can make it right!"
