----"Sukob coughed up a finger. He glared at Eideara, though this glare differed from the rest. It was filled with disbelief and wonder. He stood up and approached her, stopping a short distance from in front of her. “You? You. You intend to overthrow the Sire family? With what army?” Sukob pointed toward her trumpet-bearing sidekick. “The bard couldn’t possibly last five minutes in a fight. How do you to take them out? I’ve led groups of Assassins in that same attempt for a couple years before…” He shook his head as if remembering something too painful to speak on. He pivoted with a growl and walked toward Saleme briskly."-------
Eideara watched him thoughtfully as he made his outburst. As he turned and left to talk with Saleme, she smiled to herself.
"Trust me, Whiskers, this plan has been more than a few years in the making. Tritontite is not the limit of my forces." She muttered to herself as she wandered towards the carriage. It didn't surprise her that Sukob had led his own attacks on the Sire royal family. Many had. And all had been unsuccessful. She felt a note of respect for the beastman for the fact he'd remained alive. Clearly he was skilled.
--- "Suddenly, Sukob returned to the present and sunk to a knee. After catching his breath, he rose and nodded, to affirm to the group Saleme’s claims, “The fool isn’t lying. He’s capable of leading us to the idol. The quicker we ready ourselves for desert travel, the faster the idol falls under our possession.” Sukob glared at the Sire, “for once I agree with her. Let’s make moves. "----
Eideara, already near the carriage, mock curtsied and smiled. "Then there's hope for our people, yet. Climb aboard, everyone. There should be room for everyone. Perhaps I can even fix you a bowl of milk to wash down your corpse, Whiskers."
Inside the roomy carriage were plush seats, and large filigreed metal containers filled with ice, chilling bottles of fine waters and other Sire Luxury Alcoholic beverages. A music box was inlaid into the wall, and a soft tinkling tune played from it. The roof of the carriage was crisscrossed with live plants, with a selection of living fruit dangling above the passengers' heads.
"Apologies to you all, this is my second worst carriage. Help yourselves to refreshments, usually Tritonite would serve, but he'll be driving."

Arch would make it into town and head to the local tavern to see if he could get a room
Vent would lightly flag him down by the tavern. He smiled then projected "that was fast."
Arch hummed in his head as he nodded "freakin needed to get away from there." He thought in distaste. "That Saleme guy couldn't find his way out of a paper bag much less get across a desert and I wasn't in the mood to be used as a compass."
Vent gave a nod "Nighttime is usually the best time to travel through the desert." He transmitted "It's cooler then the daytime."
"it's also more dangerous." Arch replied "that's when creatures come out to hunt like Beastman and the like beside that group wasn't even equipped for travel. I mean sure there was a sire with a carriage nearby but what are the odds that they would join forces just because some delusional nutjob told them to."
Vent hummed in thought "maybe if he offered something like an idol to them..." He thought.
"like that guy could get them an idol..." Arch thought then laughed in his mind "no way... who would fall for that."
"uh... just about anyone who looking for power." Vent stated "I've been keeping my ears pressed to the wall. The church have been using someone to translate ancient books on the idols and I've heard that tonight he's escaped with a book in hand..."
Arch blinked "nah... you don't think..." He thought
"someone being chased by royal guards, someone that the church needs badly." Vent thought "uh yeah... I think your guy you encountered might be the only guy to be able to find the idols if he had enough help."
Arch groaned in his mind "and I turned him down. Vent am I a fool or am I just too logical and realistic for my own good."
"eh I'd give you the second one heck in your shoes without my knowledge I wouldn't have believed him at all."
"and you just now decided to share this knowledge?" Arch thought with displeasure
"hey I just learned after you said you were coming in." Vent replied "besides I also heard that the guy has a magic restraint device on his neck... his magic is zapped"
"he had a beastman at arms length." Arch stated "Strangth beat magic at close range"
"okay..." Vent thought then hummed "uh... well shoot uh you up to trying to follow them."
"on what?" Arch stated "it's not like the royal guard just gonna hand over some horses and supplies and say "here Vent take your friend and see if you can go catch up with our runaway translator."
Vent chuckled "hey I can be very convincing." He grinned "if I get horses, supplies and possibly a map would you come with me Arch."
"with you Vent." Arch stated "I'd almost go anywhere."
Vent hummed "I'll ask around tonight."

// Hi hi, hope its not too late to join! Name: Alessia Bryn. Age: 22. Race: Human. Looks: Abilities/Talents: Weapons: Bio: Alessia is a kind, loyal, honest, and polite humanitarian who strives to see the best in others and has a strong conviction to complete whatever task she feels is her duty. She is, however, naive, always believing the best of people, and often places the needs of others above her own, becoming apologetic when she feels she has let someone down. She hides her feelings of fear and sadness while encouraging her friends to express themselves in her place. She is willing to carry others' burdens and sacrifice everything she has, giving up chances for her own happiness if it means helping others. Other(Fun Facts?): Alessia has heterochromia: her left eye is blue, while the right is green. Her blue eye is because of her sire mothers side. However it was kept a secret from her, as she was told that her mother died from an illness immediately after birth. There was no given excuse for her eye. Name: Hana Eidolon. Age: 17. Race: Human. Looks: Abilities/Talents: Skilled Automail specialist and Mechanic, Amateur Surgeon. Weapons: Two daggers, often times will resort to her tools as weapons. Bio: Hana is a very emotional, strong-willed and emphatic person who puts all her heart and effort into the things she does. Enthusiastic about machinery, Hana is most at home near cranking gears, whirring bearings and the smell of oil and becomes absolutely giddy when given the opportunity to interact with and learn about such things, causing those who know her to mock her as an "engineering otaku" or a "crazy gearhead". She is stubborn and straightforward, often calling others out for their weaknesses and delusions. Hana's stout heart allows her to make difficult and dangerous choices very easily so long as they coincide with her strong sense of duty and morality. Contributed to by both of these characteristics is her willingness to work with almost excessive devotion on the various automail whose maintenance she undertakes for the sake of the people who depend on her, going so far as to take multiple consecutive overnight workshop sessions and travel long distances without hesitation in order to ensure their prompt and proper completion. Other(Fun Facts?): She was raised by mechman, which birthed her interests. Hana wanted to be able to take care of her fathers as they were to her.

~ Night time A lone fortress stood in the dessert multiple beastmen arguing about what to do about a situation that looked rather dire. Looking out to the sands the Beastmen could see the sand dunes rising and lowering as if something rather large was underneath it almost surfing through the sand. A glow of red could just about be seen before the alarms were raised. ~Morning The darkness of the night sky had masked the group’s carriage ride. Saleme was quick to fall asleep only awakening once they were deep in the dessert.
“Morning…” He moaned groggily rubbing his eyes and taking a glance around the carriage. “Wow this place was comfy. Umm how is everyone to be honest I’m kind of hungry myself the castle usually has someone bring me food” Saleme muttered but quickly realized how that sounded. “Eh n-not that I’m spoilt or anything it just I am never allowed to leave the library unless I have an escort and getting one is rather difficult” Saleme blurted out before looking out the window hoping to find a change of subject.
“Wow a castle!” Saleme shouted staring out at a practically almost destroyed fortress. “I never seen a castle run by beastmen before is it nice I want to check it out could you imagine if there is treasure” Saleme grinned beginning to ramble on with himself unaware that the damaged fortress he was so excited about seeing was not well as ancient as he thought it was. “Can we go please, I know we got this whole saving the world thing but seeing some Beastmen architecture could really help!” Saleme cheered. Being only a human he could not get a whiff of the scents around the fortress the scents of blood and ash.

"All systems online." A feminine voice roared out beneath a thick plaid patterned scarf that hung from above their head and covered their mouth. A thick pair of taupe colored goggles covered the remainder of the beings face. Their right arm was raised as a small device rested against the base of her wrist. Coming to their feet, their head turned in every direction. In their other hand, they were seen twirling a large wrench. Scattered around the fortress were a number newly installed cameras, as well as what appeared to be a defense system. It was naked to the eye, but once one was nearly centimeters away one could spot the thin laser that blocked entry.
Nearby, there stood a tall blonde female with a bow in hand. Her duo colored eyes sensed fear, as she'd glance around every so often to ensure nothing would sneak up on her. "We should be on our way now, I'm sure everything is in working order." The soft, gentle voice suggested. She stepped forward towards the shorter being, whom was covered in gear leaving their gender a complete mystery.
"I want to give it one more trial, just to make sure all of my calculations are correct! Well, I'm not doubting myself. I mean, what are the odds that they're wrong." A chuckle could be heard past the mask. "But, it never hurts to check!"
Alessia softly sighed and nodded her head, she knew there was no getting through to her companion. She approached the nearest window, although it was barely standing, the female struck a pose and raised her weapon. There was a silence before the female elf had released a bow out into the desert. It appeared to be en route, however; seconds later a laser had locked onto it and instantly combusted the wooden arrow. Glancing over her shoulder, she offered a warm smile. "See? Everything is good."
"Or not." The hooded figure breathed out. Glancing up at one of her monitors, they picked up a carriage approaching then. "Who would even come down this way?" She hummed to herself, quickly typing and pressing buttons. It seemed crazy to an outside party. "Keep on your toesies, we have company!"

Shortly before departure, Sukob convinced Tritonite it was in his best interest to join the party within the carriage and allow the Beastmen to drive. All it took was a lick of his lips and a flash of his fangs. No way would he let a Sire lead him to his death. Once the party was prepared for travel, Sukob led the group deep into the desert. He didn’t speak with them much, keeping a firm lookout for any and all dangers that may arise. Something didn’t feel right to him. Usually whenever things were falling in line for Sukob, something would soon set it out of whack.
“Morning…” He moaned groggily rubbing his eyes and taking a glance around the carriage.
Sukob turned his head and nodded slightly. The night drive was easy and surprisingly void of all attackers. Man and beast. Saleme immediately complained of hunger to which Sukob merely looked on at Tritonite. Saleme wouldn’t enjoy Sukob’s idea for breakfast.
“Wow a castle!” Saleme shouted staring out at a practically almost destroyed fortress. “I never seen a castle run by beastmen before is it nice I want to check it out could you imagine if there is treasure” Saleme grinned beginning to ramble on with himself. “Can we go please, I know we got this whole saving the world thing but seeing some Beastmen architecture could really help!” Saleme cheered.
Sukob emitted a low growl. He could smell the death in the air. “If you want to live, hold your weapon close,” Sukob began. He whipped the horses gently, instructing them to slow down and begin trotting. He sniffed the air trying to grasp more scents than blood. “Seems like several wounded, and more are dead.” As they approached the castle, Sukob gently pulled them to a halt several yards away from the entrance. “Are you guys ready?”

As Saleme groggily left the carriage, Eideara elegantly stepped down from the steps, and took in her first new breath of desert air. It had a smell all it's own. Heat, and death. Two of the things known to the sire. Tritonite tottered ahead, bumbling about preparing some kind of food, shaken by Sukob.
Eideara disregarded this. "Tritonite will cook for you, Saleme, if you're hungry. Just tell him what you want to eat, he's usually pretty well stocked."
She listened as Saleme spoke more, and looked at the castle on the horizon.Dilapidated, and a home of the beastmen?
She glanced at Sukob. "Beastmen stronghold, hmm? There a big ball of yarn in there? I suppose there's enough sand to clear the litter tray fairly regularly."
Her face turned more serious as Sukob smelt wounded, and possible dead. "No breakfasts, Tritonite. We need to get in there. People need our aid."
"B...but miss, they could be..." He glanced at Sukob and shivered. "Dangerous."
"We are clearly the only people around for miles, you snivelling toad. I'm not standing around while people die. Not....not again."
With that, she strode purposefully towards the castle, her red hair whipping in the desert winds.

Mizzix panted. The desert's warmth wasn't great for his metallic body parts, they conducted heat.
"Please, creator. My kingdom for some coolant." He muttered, looking ahead as the caravan stopped and people got out. On the horizon, a dilapidated castle stood proudly, if a little tattered.
"What're they doing here?" He wondered. "Creator...you never tell me everything, do you?"
He really didn't want to have to meet up with the group just yet- after all, they had yet to meet him, and from the meeting he'd spied, aside from Saleme, they'd seemed downright hostile, or in he case of the sire woman, sarcastic about their partnership. And yet, the most burning message his creator had given him was that he must join them.
Mizzix spied the sire woman storming towards the castle. He decided he'd meet them in there.

Raija's eyes crept up as she woke from her slumber. She was sitting with her arms crossed, leaned against a wall next to her. Wiping her face to facilitate the waking up process, she got up and dragged herself outside of the carriage. "Why are we here... This is not our destination." She grumped out as Eideara strode off towards the castle. "Such emotional action." She looked left and right, looking as everyone else seemed to be on board with the plan.
Sighing, she took her first steps toward the ruins, setting her mind from distractions and proceeding to her new goal.

Saleme would turn around smiling at the others. “Hey if you want the idols we help people who need help that my rule” Saleme grinned confidently before looking rather confused. “Umm…” he muttered a looking rather baffled. “I have never been to the dessert but the sand is it supposed to do that?” He questioned pointing behind the group.
The sand off in the distance was shifting rather rapidly as if something underneath the sand was swimming through it. A roar would be heard from beneath the sand as lightning would begin striking at where it was shifting. “WOW THAT IS SO COOL!” Saleme shouted looking amazed at the sight. It was then that whatever was beneath the sand had changed direction and was now heading towards the groups ride and the group.

“We are clearly the only people around for miles, you snivelling toad. I'm not standing around while people die. Not....not again.”
With that, she strode purposefully towards the castle, her red hair whipping in the desert winds.
Sukob snorted unable to hold back his amusement. A princess of the Sire unwilling to let people perish? “Now I’ve seen it all. Please, do charge ahead without concern for your own health. Though I wanted to kill you, I won’t mind if someone… or something beats me to the punch.” Glancing toward Raija, he could hear her disapproval with the sudden action. He responded with a light shrug. “I tried warning them. Only the sniveling toad had the right idea,” Sukob stated, the grin curling on his lips revealing his sharp teeth.
“Hey if you want the idols we help people who need help that my rule” Saleme grinned confidently before looking rather confused.
His grin immediately dissipated. A low growl and scowl replaced it. “We can’t save everybody, tome reader. Wouldn’t it make sense to help those who can help us? Leave everyone else to their woes and troubles?” He asked, sincerely trying to change Saleme’s mind. Before Saleme could respond, he pointed at something behind the group. “No… sand is not supposed to do that,” He answered lowly. Sukob felt something in the pit of his stomach.
“WOW THAT IS SO COOL!” Saleme shouted looking amazed at the sight. It was then that whatever was beneath the sand had changed direction and was now heading towards the groups ride and the group.
“Cool enough to kill you in one bite,” Sukob responded grabbing Saleme and hoisting him over his shoulders. “That’s probably what killed everybody here,” He surmised once again climbing aboard the carriage. He whipped the animals, “forward if you want to live!”
