Saleme would be trying to wiggle free from sukobe shoulder. “I can run you know geez this is embarrassing!” he shouted as the Beastman ran through the sand managing to set sites on the fortress he begin channelling his magical energy. When Sukobe arrived on the carriage Saleme idea became much harder to pull off “Sukobe I’m focusing but you are not making this easy!” he yelled as the Beastman was causing the carriage ride to be a rather bumpy one Saleme would be aiming with his bow finally getting the right aim at least what he thought.
He sent an arrow shooting towards the fortress noticing the worm was catching up to them he would begin to panic causing the temperature to drop around Sukobe and him. “Holy crap it has teeth like a dozen or maybe more I don’t know is it made of teeth I think it is!” Saleme shouted answering his own question as the temperature around the two would become drastically cold. The Beast however lost interest in the two going after the others now instead for so.me reason it was focusing on Raija and the beautiful Summerhaze “Raija mothers gift make sure you grab our friends!” he shouted throwing her his bow the arrow he had fired earlier would fly above the fortress Saleme and Sukobe would vanish reappearing in the air above the fortress as the arrow shot over it this was not a very good plan though as the two would now begin a descent towards the fortresses higher walls. “You better be able to land on your feet Sukobe!” Saleme shouted as the two begu

The incoming crowd set off an alarm within the walls of the fortress. Hana quickly rose her head, checking each monitor until one displayed a clear live feed of the troublemakers heading their way. "What the hell are they doing?!" She scowled, immediately punching in keys at her computer rather rapidly. "B, it looks like we have company!" Hana led them towards the roof top of the fortress. With a high tech upgraded telescope, Hana was able to see the group clear as day.
Brynn climbed along one of the pillars of the fortress, raising her weapon. She wasn't normally one to quickly turn to violence, but she knew the two females had to defend themselves. They were uncertain if the group ahead were even friendly! Awakening the sand beast did not seem like such a neautral task to complete. From a higher stand point, Brynn began to shoot down the worm that quickly swam through the sand.
The two females quickly rose their head ago glance up as two unfamiliar voices could be heard from up above.
Hana quickly drew her twin daggers and took a defensive stance. "Brynn, take out the worm. I'll deal with these punks."

As the sand worm began squirming towards them, Eideara smiled warmly.
"Oh Tritonite, do you remember Loggins? This worm looks just like him."
Tritonite stayed stock still, rooted to the spot from fear. "I knew I shouldn't have left the carriage, the beastman just made me feel so...so...."
"Oh, don't mind Whiskers. See the way he just lifted Saleme from danger? Total pussycat. Or at the very least, smart enough to hold onto the golden goose."
The rumbling sand grew closer, fangs now visible as the worm drew close.
"M....Miss....it's....it's here...." Tritonite stammered, wavering, about to faint.
Eideara waited until the worm drew itself up in front of her, teeth sparkling in the desert light.
"Really are a specimen, aren't you? Loggins was a bit cuter, come to think of it. He'd let you at least ride him across the dunes before subjecting you to the rotted breath."
She elegantly lifted her arms, and focused. "But all sand worms have a similar complaint, don't they?" She spoke calmly, before pushing forward.
Particles of water in the atmosphere, from the Earth, formed together and made a jet of water, spraying high and sparkling in the sunlight. Eideara aimed this jet at the sand worm, which immediately gratefully and greedily began lapping and gnashing at the surf, drinking deeply.
"You're always thirsty. I left home for one week and they left Loggins to dehydrate. They say there's no honor among Sire. They're right."
Tritonite looked down, sadly.

Raija turned around as the sand worm barreled towards them. Sukob took action and attempted to save the cart, it looked like it was worth money, and Saleme. As Saleme shot the arrow, she caught onto his plan. She summoned a feather and ran towards Eideara as she began to drench the sand worm and caught the bow Saleme threw. Tying the feather to a throwing knife, she notched the knife and launched it just over the fortress wall. Grabbing Eideara and Tritonite, she looked at both of them. "Apologies." She said as they disappeared and reappeared on a couple feet above the wall.
Rolling with her fall, she recovered and threw another feather-knife at Saleme and Sukob, reappearing next to them and grabbing them as well, returning back to the original knife was placed. All five of them in the same place, Raija took a breath. "Good idea. Librarian. I am impressed at your quick thinking." She looked up at a girl with daggers in her hand and hummed. "Hmm... We do not wish to harm you." She said with her hands up in innocence.

“I can run you know geez this is embarrassing!” he shouted as the beast man ran through the sand managing to set sites on the fortress he began channeling his magical energy.
Sukob scoffed, “Losing my power ticket to a giant worm, now that’s embarrassing.” Once they were atop the carriage riding full speed toward the fortress, Sukob heard Saleme complain again. He shook his head, not willing to respond this time. Though they were wary of entering before, now they had no choice. Sukob’s brow furrowed as he saw an arrow fly upwards, away from the monster. “What? Were you even aiming??” He inquired, irritation laced in his voice. Upon further inspection, he noticed high above them a lone bird circled the group. It flew on invisible strings, eyes trained on the leopard beast man below.
A low shudder escaped Sukob’s mouth. “It shouldn’t be this cold at this time of day…” He noted, returning his attention to Saleme. Before he could question him about it, the duo rematerialized high in the sky. The small gray bird was within arm’s reach now, its beady orange eyes meeting Sukob’s.
“You better be able to land on your feet Sukob!” Saleme shouted as the two begun their descent.
“I can. You, however… that’s another story altogether,” He admitted as he began to contort his body to accommodate the added weight: Saleme. As they fell, Sukob narrowly dodged a dagger Raija thrown at them. He quickly realized it was unnecessary when she snatched them out of the sky and rematerialized down on the ground. Tossing Saleme on his ass, Sukob brushed the dirt off the fur on his shoulders. “Quick thinking indeed,” He agreed with Raija before placing his eyes on the defending woman. He growled lowly. “Speak for yourself,” He said. The bird nosedived toward the ground before perching on Sukob’s shoulder. “Put your weapons down and we can talk like civilized individuals.”

Saleme would get up from the floor looking unamused. “Thank you Raija” He muttered before looking up at Sukobe he didn’t seem to be focused on the new arrival who was threatening them. “We are having a fight!” he snapped at Sukobe the temperature around Saleme having dropped significantly it seemed Saleme didn’t like being called a ‘power ticket’ that and being dropped onto the floor wasn’t very nice either.
As Saleme came storming past sukobe he sit himself down on the side of one of the walls and beginning reading his book in a huff. “Oh dagger lady he will eat you so don’t fight him or you will be eaten” He mumbled as he began grumbling to himself while reading his book.
The worm would slither through the sand as the cannon blasts began to hit making it more angry after getting hurt the sound of crackling electricity would begin to be heard before a blast of lightning would shoot out from the sand and go directly towards where the cannon was.

"No apologies required. You brought me up to the penthouse for the party, it seems." Eideara laughed lightly to herself, elegantly wandering a short distance from the cluster they'd all arrived in. "Been a while since I was grabbed, too. I imagined it would be Whiskers first, though."
Tritonite sat on the floor, dizzy and frightened. "It's...getting cold..." He spoke softly, looking to Eideara.
Eideara glanced at Saleme, seemingly angry at Sukob. "At risk of sounding punny, chill out, darling. Whiskers is a mercenary in nature as well as profession, clearly. I'm sure he'll show us he has emotions other than 'surly' at a later date- oh, hi!" She said this last part to the two girls, as happily and breezily as if they'd ran into each other at a garden party.
"Eideara Summerhaze, charmed, I'm sure. No need for the dagger formalities- we're no danger to you, unless of course you make us one by attacking. I have no intention of murder today, so you'll forgive me if I sit it out." The beautiful sire heard the crackling of electricity from the worm and grinned.
"Of course, the markings...oh Tritonite, you almost actually had a reason to be scared."

A short travelling distance away from the ruins of the gigantic fortress stood a large temple, though the temple itself was dwarfed when compared to the size of the fortress. It laid between two huge sand dunes, keeping it hidden from view from a distance unless you were to look from a specific area of the desert. The temple itself was ancient, and held a regal look about it. Inside were a few small chambers, and a huge room in the center of the temple, kept simple but adorned with various antique artifacts, merely vases and cosmetic jewels. In the center of the large room was a metallic statue, the statue itself was merely the average size of most living beings, however the huge pedestal that it sat on top of was pretty tall, making the statue itself seem larger than it actually was. The statue depicted a Sha male in mid transformation, his arms and torso having grown bulkier with muscle and gills on his neck, his teeth razor sharp and bearing an absolutely livid frown as he seemed to be roaring. He also held a large staff equipped with a curved blade on one end, topped off with a hook on the dull side of it. History buffs might recognize this particular Sha to be the famed Larry Mikenza, youngest Big Boss in Sha history and innovator of the Nectar monopoly that the Sires are now known for. Being sold and traded quite a few times at this point, the latest owner of the statue wasn't much more than a collector, and had perished along with his fellow Beastmen in the sand worm attack. However his duties didn't leave him time to schedule regularly visits anymore, and now the statue was left gathering dust in the large temple housing his most rare and precious collectibles. However, the room now began to shake, first subtly, slowly increasing in intensity with each passing second as the vibrations from the sand worm tunneling through the sand reached the temple. The temperature also began to drop, the cold air putting stress on the integrity of the statue's exterior. Next, the air was filled with static courtesy of the sand worm's lightning. The combination of the magical energy from the air and the magical energy from the latent electricity caused the statue to give off a faint glow, the dust evaporating into nothing as the glow grew brighter and brighter, the temple now starting to quake ominously. The items closest to the statue were suddenly blown across the room as the collective magical energy in the room was all absorbed into the statue and expanded outward, the metal frame changing to flesh and a low growl filled the room, quickly growing into a fierce ear-piercing roar. "--gonna rip you limb from......" Larry's words faded as he looked around with a look of confusion. "The hell? Where did they go?! Where am I....." By now, the room shaking had toned down quite noticably, however the vibrations from the sand worm could still be felt. "The hell is that? Too many questions, not enough answers. Time to go get some," he grumbled to himself as he immediately charged for the large closed door, tucking his shoulder down and plowing into it full-force, taking it clean off the hinges without losing much momentum as he headed for what seemed to be the exit. "This is why I f**king hate magic!" Name: Larry Mikenza, of the Sha Age: physically 24, literal age unknown Race: Sire(technically Sha) Looks: (Shark form) Abilities/Talents: water manipulation, limited control over air, enhanced strength and agility (even moreso when submerged/transformed/combination of both) Weapons: pixabay.com/p-145366/?no_redirectBio: Larry Mikenza. The Sire history books likely pay homage to him in more ways than one, as he is the youngest Big Boss in history and the sole reason for their monopoly on the Desert Nectar. He was also known as a smart and fair businessman, however fierce and ruthless when he had to be. Quite powerful for his age, not many were able to match him in a 1v1 brawl, or even 1v3 for that matter. He was leagues above the rest of the Sha in terms of power, skill, and strategy, be it combat or business. Unfortunately, this notoriety garnered him not only the respect and loyalty of his peers, but major enemies of other races. His prosperous reign as leader of the Sha ended abruptly as he was ambushed by a large group of 50 elves, the remaining few survivors finally able to cast what they believed was an unbreakable petrification spell after he had taken down at least 40 of the initial group singlehandedly. Other(Fun facts?): While he may seem rough and ruthless on the outside, deep down he is incredibly protective of those he considers allies, and these days he battles with his own demons of regret of the past.

Hana raised an eyebrow in confusion, as she took a glance at those whom stood before her. "You're kidding right?" She lowered her weapons slowly before pointing out to the field behind her. "You all claim to do no harm when you've destroyed the majority of my security systems and awoken the sand beast. How exactly are you helping?!" The female huffed out, crossing her arms over her chest.
Alessia watched Hana with a sense of sympathy, offering a hand to gracefully rub against her back. The females dual colored hues would then turn to face the group. "Please do not mind Hana here, I'm sure she does not mean her words. It's just...we are not used to seeing actual beings around this part! Hopefully, you are all safe?" She questioned, taking a moment to inspect the "battle field" for herself. "Allow me to begin introductions, I am Alessia! That there is Hana. We are here to assisting in fortifying this fortress's defense system. Hana here is very well with anything machinery, a real tech savy." The female paused as she brought a finger to her bottom plump lip. "I am here for mere defenses as well as healing, I suppose. I promise I am very much helpful upon this journey!" Alessia glanced over at Hana whom had seeming cooled down from the miscommunication ordeal, as she currently stepped from out of her thick mech suit. "May I ask what brings you down this deathly road?"

On the other side of the desert, a tree home civilization of humans and elves thrived. Between the sand dunes and the lush green trees, cacti masked its presence with powerful magic. Inside their small civilization, a lone pyramid structure stretched toward the heavens as its centerpiece. Inside lay treasured and magical artifacts: weapons, amulets, armors, even vehicles and statues. Normally, the people were peace-loving individuals. They were devout worshippers of a god who is now lost to the history books. The well-respected Pharisees were in deep argument over the arrival of a visitor a few short days prior. A visitor hasn’t reached their lands in well over fifty years. A modest looking elderly man draped in white robes with few golden religious artifacts furrowed his brows as he stared at Delrose, who idled alongside the walls of the pyramid. The man claimed to know nothing of his past and that his search for answers led him to their fair village. The Pharisee turned his back to Delrose and huddled together with his compatriots. He let out an exasperated sigh before addressing them, “Who else would come here? And for what reason?” Several murmurs were heard. “He’s a liar.” “How can we trust him?” “The last visitor tried to eat us, curse the Assassin’s League.” The head Pharisee raised his hands bringing all talk to a standstill. “Please brothers. This man has shown no ill will toward us. In the days he’s been here, he’s even offered to help out with the everyday chores of our people. He’s shown no interest in the temple or its artifacts and when we kept tabs on him at night, he stays put within the hut we’ve lent him. It can only be him,” He pleaded. More murmuring between the group of religious officials before finally and suddenly at that, they stopped. The head Pharisee pivoted on his foot, spinning toward Delrose. He spread his arms in a welcoming gesture. “Come… Delrose, was it? There is something you must see.” The group led him up the flight of stairs outside the pyramid. “Truthfully, we were wary about you. Some of us still are… but I have faith. Faith that you’re…” “I am… go on,” Delrose spoke his interest piquing. The large doors opened and revealed more gold than Delrose had ever seen. The inside was immaculate. The main room held a large statue of Gilgamesh which stood against the wall. It was chipped and some parts even broken off, likely due to age. In front of the statue a large book rest, open to a page somewhere in the middle. “ Gilgamesh!” The head Pharisee spoke. “I believe you are the god king of ancient days past. All of the treasures in here belong to y-“ Delrose cut him off with a hearty chuckle. “You think I’m some god?” He asked incredulously. He spun around, hands out gesturing to the entire temple. “You think I’m… Gilgamesh?” Another hearty laugh. At this point the Pharisees were becoming disappointed. They murmured to one another mixes of “I told you so” and “This was a bad idea”. “I appreciate you all for what you’ve done for me, truly I do. But don’t you think this is a little farfetc-“ The head Pharisee cut him off, “But your likeness. It’s uncanny. You may sport a rugged beard now and your clothes may be more modest than the poorest of us… but your blonde hair. Piercing red eyes. It can’t be simple coincidence!” He pleaded with Delrose. At this point, Delrose began examining the temple. “So you’re under the impression that I’m the god king. That this temple and all that lies within it is mine,” He began. The Pharisee nodded then corrected him, “all that lies upon this world is rightfully yours.” Delrose pointed at a statue of beast man. “This too?” The Pharisee nodded. “But… it seems so… life-like,” Delrose noted, running his finger against the gold. “The craftsman should be proud of his work,” He muttered turning his back to the statue. The Pharisees shook their heads. “Actually, King Gilg- Delrose…” He began, switching up when Delrose shot him an angry glare. “Legend has it that statue was once a live person. Magic kept him in a suspended animation for years upon years…wait, what are you doing?” Delrose’s open palm met his fist as he went to elbow the statue. “I’m not very magically inclined… but if that legend of yours is true. It’s horrible. We’ve gotta release him.” The Pharisees shook their hands frantically. “Wait! Legend said he was very dangerous! You can’t just d-“ Delrose grinned. “I can’t let him live the rest of his life stuck in a golden prison. My heart wouldn’t let me live with myself,” He replied, elbowing the statue once again watching as portions of it began to crack, revealing flesh and fur underneath. Name: Delrose Monsterward Age: Late 20’s Race: Human? Appearance: Imagine the armor to be a cloth tunic, no cape. Broke boy traveler style. Also, the blue eyes are red. Abilities/Talents: Enhanced Durability, Peak Physical Prowess Weapons: Fang of a beast that his first guardian fashioned into a hunting blade to show appreciation Biography: Delrose was told that he was found by a young girl and brought to a clinic. Doctors feared he’d never wake up from his coma because all types of medications, magic included, seemed to have no effect on him. He awoke in this underground clinic somewhere between the two major capitals, which was ran by humans and elves, with a crazy case of amnesia. Unsure of who or what he was, he set off in search of answers. Before he could leave town, the little girl returned and brought him to her home. Her father wanted to meet the man his daughter spoke of so much. That same night, a large beast attacked the house but Delrose managed to fend it off without any harm befalling the family. To show his gratitude, the father crafted a weapon from the beast’s fang and gave the stranger a name: Delrose. He also offered him a place to stay should he ever need it, naming him a part of the Monsterward family. Happy to have found some type of kinship in this strange world, Delrose hung around for a while before ultimately leaving once more and more monsters began showing up. Forty years have passed since then and Delrose Monsterward hasn’t aged one bit. He also hasn’t found any answers regarding his mysterious past. He has continued traveling becoming a nomad. Delrose makes friends here and there but he never stays long enough to form close ties with anyone else. Other: Monsters and beasts are attracted to him and constantly come to attack him when the sun falls over the horizon.
